Mechanic Supervisor

As a Mechanic Supervisor, you will lead a team of heavy-duty mechanics, overseeing daily operations and ensuring tasks are assigned according to skill level and workload. You will provide clear guidance, resources, and leadership to ensure efficient task completion, especially in high-pressure situations. Maintaining safety, quality standards, and meeting deadlines will be key in your role. You will also foster a positive and productive work environment, continuously guiding the team to maintain high morale and performance.

Your day-to-day responsibilities
• Supervise and lead a team of mechanics, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy-duty equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and best practices to maintain a safe work environment.
• Manage inventory of tools, parts, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities for tracking and reporting.
• Provide ongoing training and mentorship to junior mechanics and assist with their professional development.
• Review technicians’ repair orders to ensure all information is complete and accurate before the next job is assigned to each technician.
• Promote a positive attitude and a healthy work environment.
• Perform other related duties as required by the Maintenance Supervisor.

What you need to succeed:

• Five years’ experience as a 310T mechanic is required.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, and sustain it throughout the day.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach.
• Basic computer skills to process completed work orders.
• Valid G Driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with engine repair & maintenance is an asset.
• Ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
